Environmental Policy

Introduction and Aim

TreeMarker supplies a growing range of Tools & Equipment to the Forestry, Arboriculture & Horticulture industries, throughout the UK and Europe.

Our trading operations are primarily online, with most orders placed via our ecommerce website and then dispatched using an appropriate courier service.

As an environmentally conscious organisation, TreeMarker acknowledges the potential impact that our operations may have on the environment.

This environmental policy applies to all our operations including management, office services, site operations, and procurement.

Our aim is to comply with all relevant legislation, to continue to reduce the environmental impacts of our business and operate in an environmentally responsible manner.

Responsibility

The Directors have overall responsibility for all environmental matters relevant to the operations and activities of TreeMarker.

All employees and sub-contractors of TreeMarker have a responsibility in their area to ensure that the aims and objectives of the policy are met, and to cooperate and assist in the implementation of this policy.

TreeMarker will always operate within the requirements of Statutory Legislation and fully comply with the obligations and duties placed upon it.

Environmental Objectives

To minimise our impact on the environment, we undertake the following objectives:

• Make efficient use of natural resources by conserving energy and water, minimising waste, and recycling wherever possible.
• Meet our duty of care requirements in relation to waste by ensuring the safe keeping, transportation and subsequent recovery or disposal of waste.
• Use recycled packaging materials whenever these can be commercially justified; otherwise use 100% degradable and recyclable material.
• Consider the effects that out operations have on the local community and always behave in a considerate and socially responsible manner.
• Work with suppliers to ensure they recognise and reduce the environmental impact of their products and transportation.
• Inform and train all employees of the company’s environmental objectives and provide all necessary resources, equipment, instruction, and training to fulfil the requirements of this policy.

Monitoring and Review

The operation of this policy and associated procedures will be monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that they remain current and applicable to the operating activities of TreeMarker.

This Environmental Policy has been endorsed by the Directors who give their full support to the implementation of the policy.
