Haglof Increment Hammer
The Haglof Increment Hammer is a rugged, field-ready tool designed for the quick assessment of recent tree growth. Ideal for foresters, researchers, and environmental professionals, this precision instrument enables rapid evaluation of annual growth increments without the need for a full core sample.
Constructed from high-quality Swedish steel, the hammer features a hollow bit with an integrated ejector. When the pointed end is driven into the tree stem, it removes a shallow wood sample from just beneath the bark, with a core diameter of 4mm.
A graduated scale on the handle, marked up to 5 cm (2 inches), allows users to quickly gauge sample depth and assess recent growth layers.
