Hand Axes, Felling Axes and Log Splitting Mauls

As we continue to expand our range of Forestry Tools, you can now buy Richard Carter Hand Axes, Felling Axes and Log Splitting Mauls from TreeMarker.

All the axes are available in a variety of head weights and handle lengths, with the choice of hickory or fibreglass shafts.

Richard Carter – Hand Axe

These hand axes are ideal for trimming stray branches and for splitting small logs for firewood.

The axe heads are forged from hardened tool steel and fitted with either a Grade A Hickory or Fibreglass shaft.

The head weight for either option of hand axe is 1.5lb.

Richard Carter – Felling Axe

The felling axes are ideal for felling small trees and for clearing branches.

The axes heads are forged from hardened tool steel and are available in a range of axe head weights from 2.5lb to 6lb.

The shaft lengths on offer are 18", 28" or 36" for the hickory shafts with axe head weights of 2.5lb 4.5lb and 6lb respectively; or a 34" fibreglass shaft available with a 4.5lb felling axe head.

Richard Carter – Log Splitting Maul

Log splitting mauls are designed specifically for splitting logs for firewood.

With the maul heads forged from hardened tool steel and fitted with a Grade A Hickory shaft, there are 3 options available including 4lb / 30", 6lb / 36”, and 8lb / 36".
