Haglof T4 Ultrasonic Transponder
The Haglof T4 Transponder is an ultrasonic transmitter/receiver designed for use with Vertex and DME forestry measuring instruments.
Haglof T4 Ultrasonic Transponder
The Haglof T4 Transponder is a rugged ultrasonic transmitter/receiver designed for use with Haglof Vertex and DME measuring instruments. Used extensively in forestry, arboriculture, and woodland surveying, the T4 enables accurate ultrasonic distance and height measurements even in dense vegetation and challenging field conditions.
The T4 is the latest generation transponder from Haglof, replacing the earlier T3 and previous models with improved electronics, enhanced battery compatibility, and integrated LED status indicators for easier field operation. Fully compatible with both current and older Haglof measuring instruments, the T4 provides a seamless upgrade for existing users.
Key Features
- Ultrasonic transmitter/receiver for Haglof measuring systems
- Compatible with Vertex 5, Vertex Laser Geo, DME, Vertex 3 and Vertex 4
- Six integrated LED indicators for status and signal monitoring
- Audible activation signal for quick operational confirmation
- Supports both direct measurement (60°) and 360° measurement with adapter
- Reliable performance in dense woodland and undergrowth
- Extended AA battery compartment for wider battery compatibility
- Updated electronics for improved durability and lifespan
- Lightweight, compact, and field rugged
Reliable Forestry Measurement
The T4 communicates wirelessly with compatible Haglof instruments to provide highly accurate ultrasonic distance measurements.
Unlike laser systems, ultrasonic measurement can perform exceptionally well in environments with heavy foliage, brush, or limited visibility.
When used with the optional 360° adapter and plot staff, the T4 enables full-circle measurement for forestry inventory and circular sample plot work.
Improved Visibility & Diagnostics
The six built-in LEDs provide instant visual feedback, helping users confirm:
- Active connection with measuring instrument
- Signal responsiveness
- Presence of disruptive environmental noise
This improves field efficiency and helps ensure accurate readings during surveying operations.
